About Hockensmith Knives
Hockensmith Knives was established in 1987. I earned my Journeyman Bladesmith stamp from the ABS in 2000. I forge
W-2, 1080, and 5160 Carbon Steel, as well as my own Damascus. I make Fancy Working Knives, including Gents Folders, Every Day Carry Folders, and Hunters. Occasionally, I'll make a Bowie/Fighter. Having been an avid outdoorsman most of my life, as well as being a Farmer, I naturally concentrate on knife function first. You won't find a lot of useless filework, sharp corners or exagerated curves on my knives. Every handle is shaped to be comfortable in the hand and/or pocket. Every blade is heat treated for the best performance. Choice for carry include a Pocket Clip, a small soft pocket "Sock", a leather belt sheath or pouch. All knives come in a zippered case for storage (please don't store your knife in a leather sheath).
